The events program leading to the celebration of World AIDS Day 2009 was launched on Monday 2nd November 2009 by the Vice President H.E. Mr. John Dramani Mahama. The event took place at the La Palm Beach Hotel. The theme for this years celebration is Universal Access and Human Rights.
The event was attended by dignitatries such as Prof. Nabila, Mr. Dauda Toure (UNDP Resident Rep), Dr. Angela El Adas (Ag. Director General Ghana AIDS Commission), Dr. Nii Akwei Addo, Program Manager (NACP), and Nana Oye Lithur Director, (Human Rights Advocacy Group), Mr. Clement Azigwe (NAP+) and representatives from the Develoment Partners, CSOs, Traditional authorities, and the general population. |
