| This was the 4th GBCA Forum, again made possible with the support of GTZ GTZ ReCHT - PPP HIV/TB Project Ghana and the contribution of our partners.
The invitation to attend was extended from the GBCA secretariat to business associations and non-members, with the aim of sharing valuable information to the entire business community.
This Forum focused on the achievements of the national control programs of HIV and AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and their relevance for the workplace programs, with possible possible integration in by different companies in the present HIV and AIDS workplace programs. The worldwide recognized best practice AngloGold Malaria Control Program (Award by Global Business Coalition) was as well presented.
Presenters were: Mr Kwadwo Asante, National AIDS/STI Control Program (NACP) on ‘Achievements in Delivering Antiretroviral Therapy in Ghana’; Mr. Raphael Agbenaza, National TB Control Program (NTP) on ‘TB Control Integration in the Workplace’; Dr. Kezia Malm National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) on ‘Malaria control integration at the workplace,: Outline and relevance for the workplace’; and Dr. Marelize Coetze, AngloGold on ‘AngloGold Ashanti: Obuasi success story’.
