Members of the Workplace HIV/AIDS Committee of  Accra Brewery were taken through a two day fast-track Peer Educator refresher training in April 2009.  The training took place at ABL and was facilitated by GTZ, Ghana Sustainable Change Project and Hope for Future Generations, two International and a local NGO respectively.  Standard Chartered Bank also assisted with one of its HIV Champions.

In all fifteen participants were trained on topics such as

• Facts about HIV & AIDS in Ghana: GTZ IEC Film & discussions  
• STI, HIV transmission, prevention, risk factors, behavioural change 
• HIV AIDS : Behavioural change training:   key concepts
• Care & support  for HIV & AIDS  
• Gender & HIV 
• Stigma & Discrimination 
• Basics of psycho-social counseling

ABL was assisted to draw up an action plan for the coming months.
