The GBCA was featured on TV3's popular Sunrise breakfast show program. The event took place on the 13th February 2009. This was made possible with sponsorship by the Standard Chartered Bank of Ghana.
A wide range of issues were discussed, including counselling and testing, stigma and discrimination, the operations of GBCA and Standard Chartered Bank, and the availability of Antiretroviral therapy.
There was a testimony by a professional living with the disease who works with the Trust Turning Point Foundation, a group of mprofessional persons living with HIV. She spoke about her experiences living positively with HIV, and on issues of stigma and discrimination. She gave a message of hope to all persons living with HIV and encouraged the general population to get tested for HIV. |
