The overall national HIV prevalence is 1.9%. However, the actual statistics are showing that there are significant variations across the regions of Ghana and within the age groups, with higher prevalence between 40 to 45 years of age (who form the bulk of the workforce). Therefore the Ghana Business Coalition against HIV & AIDS’s (GBCA) emphasis is on workplace interventions to promote behavior change and advocate for the uptake of the HIV prevention interventions, care and treatment. We invite private sector organizations to join our new project to reach at least 20,000 workers with HIV information, testing and counseling. Beneficiaries will be expected to sign up with the GBCA as members. For further information please contact us. |
